I put the bedding in the crib today. I got really confused about the proper way the crib bumper should go, i.e. pictures facing in or out? I decided to follow the picture on the package and have them facing in, which makes sense, so the baby can look at them, but I still think it would look cute if they were facing out. I didn't even ask the King because he would just roll his eyes and give me that 'You know you're crazy' look that he has been giving me lately.
I guess it's because everything was so crazy when the Prince was born, but I want things to be as close to perfect as they can be this time around. I didn't have a nursery set up because we were in the middle of moving the last time. All I had was a stupid pack and play set up next to the mattress we had on the floor (of the King's parent's house) that was our bed while we waited for our house to be finished. Add this to the fact that I had NO FREAKIN CLUE how to care for a baby. Anyway, I want to be better prepared this time.
I still have some things on my list of baby things to buy. Stupid little stuff, like Mylicon drops (the Prince lived on the stuff, really helped get those burps out) and Desitin and batteries. Good God, every baby contraption uses a million batteries. Gotta stock up! God forbid the vibrating bouncy seat stops working at 3AM and you are out of batteries. I also keep forgetting to buy a baby book. I hope I don't go into early labor without one. Need a spot for those tiny footprints!
I had the Prince at thirty-seven weeks. I'm thirty-five now. I wonder if my body is going to just kick him out at thirty-seven because it thinks it has to or will it go all the way to forty?
