There are times when I question whether my husband really loves me or if he just keeps me around because it would be too much of a hassle to get a divorce. Don't get me wrong, we never ever ever fight, it's just that he is not the most affectionate touchy feely kind of person. It's funny, because when his mother (whom I used to work with) would describe HER OWN SON, she would say he was "cold." She's right in a way. We don't cuddle. We don't hold hands. When he comes home from work and after dinner he usually retreats to the computer room. My husband would make a wonderful hermit.
Then there are the times when he will just blindside me with something wonderful. Rarely will he ever say "I love you" first, but when he does you know he means it. Today for example, he came home for lunch and told me he has hired a cleaning woman for me for the remainder of my pregnancy and a little bit after the baby is born! My jaw is still somewhere on the kitchen floor. See what I mean? Nothing for weeks, months even and then BAM! I'm floored. When I asked him why he did it he said he didn't think it was a good idea to have me bending and stretching and inhaling cleaning products. I honestly didn't think he paid attention to crap like that.
I'm definitely keeping him.

Aww!! What a sweetie!! He is a keeper for sure!!
My hubby is the same way that he hardly ever tells me he loves me. He says he trys to show me everyday instead of just saying it all the time. So when he does say it, I think it means a lot. =)
Wow, a cleaning lady! I'm totally jealous!
And I'm just like your husband, I'm so not affectionate. It drives dh CRAZY because he is always up in my face wanting touching and validation and everything. I would gladly take a hermit!
